Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Introduction

TempieMail (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use our temporary email service at tempiemail.com (“the Service”).

2. Information We Don't Collect

TempieMail is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not require registration, accounts, or any personal information to use our service. We do not collect:

  • Your real email address
  • Your name, phone number, or personal details
  • Payment information (the Service is free)

3. Information We Store

We store the minimum information necessary to provide the Service:

  • Temporary email addresses: Randomly generated or user-chosen addresses linked to anonymous session IDs
  • Incoming emails: Emails received at temporary addresses, including sender address, subject line, body content, and attachments
  • Session cookies: A session ID stored in an HTTP-only cookie to link your browser to your temporary email

All stored information is automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours. We do not retain any email data beyond this period. This deletion is irreversible.

4. Server Logs

Like most web services, our servers automatically record certain information when you access the Service, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and timestamps
  • Referring URL

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging purposes and are not linked to your temporary email session or any personal identity.

5. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

Essential Cookies

A single session cookie is used to associate your browser with your temporary email address. This cookie is HTTP-only, expires after 24 hours, does not track you across other websites, and contains only a random session ID.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our Service. Google Analytics collects information such as pages visited, time spent on pages, and general geographic location (country/city level). This data is aggregated and anonymized. Google Analytics may set cookies including _ga and _ga_*. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising Cookies

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may set cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your browsing history. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, and Switzerland, a consent management platform (CMP) is displayed to collect your consent before personalized advertising cookies are set. You can manage your ad preferences at Google Ads Settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

7. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect the data we process, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure webhook signature verification for incoming emails
  • HTTP-only, secure session cookies
  • HTML sanitization to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks
  • Automatic data expiration and deletion

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that affects user data, we will promptly investigate the incident and, where required by applicable law, notify affected users and relevant authorities within the legally mandated timeframe. Due to the anonymous nature of our Service and the 24-hour automatic deletion policy, the impact of any potential breach is inherently limited.

9. Your Rights

All Users

Since we do not collect personal information or require accounts, there is no personal data to access, modify, or export. All temporary email data is automatically deleted after 24 hours. You can generate a new temporary email address at any time to abandon your current session.

European Economic Area, UK, and Swiss Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Right of access: Request information about what data we process about you
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data (automatically fulfilled by our 24-hour deletion policy)
  • Right to restriction: Request limitation of processing
  • Right to data portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Right to object: Object to processing of your data
  • Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for cookie-based tracking at any time through your browser settings

Our legal basis for processing data is legitimate interest (providing the Service) and consent (for analytics and advertising cookies). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is collected about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights

We do not sell personal information. Due to the anonymous and temporary nature of our Service, we do not maintain identifiable personal information beyond the 24-hour session period.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used our Service in a way that raises concerns, please contact us.

11. Law Enforcement

We may disclose information in response to valid legal requests from law enforcement agencies, including subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes. Due to our 24-hour automatic deletion policy, data may not be available at the time of a request.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
